Email Spam Rules

Here are some email rules that can help keep spam out of your Inbox.

Check your email service's Preferences or Settings to see where you can creat e email rules, then choose the rules you like from the list below and add them to your account. A few quick tips:

  1. These rules are based on an email account that includes an 'Archive' folder and a 'Spam' folder. If your email platform uses different names for those folders then change the folder names in each rule. If your email platform does not have an 'Archive' folder or a 'Spam' folder then you may be able to create folders with those names.

  2. Where a rules uses a regular expression, the actual regular expression is enclosed in a pair of triple-quotes. Remove the triple-quotes when you are entering the regular expression in your email platform's preferences or settings for rules.

Good luck!
