Grant Fitzwilliam works with companies to help them understand performance measurement and best practice solutions and to assist them in incorporating them as part of their operational improvement initiatives. He actively supports C-level Executives in executing strategies to improve Finance, HR and IT functions, and measuring and monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of their process and organizations.
As a public company CFO, Mr. Fitzwilliam oversaw significant process and operational improvements including:
- Shortening the month end close by four business days by automating intercompany charges, automating transfer pricing, automating payroll journal entries from ADP and centralizing foreign Finance operations in the UK;
- Reducing DSO by 25 days by increase billing automation, eliminating project accounting process bottlenecks, increasing the frequency of billing and redefining standard contract payment terms and billing policies;
- Reducing AP manual invoice processing by over 50% through vendor consolidation, invoice consolidation and creating a paperless sub-contractor processes for time and expense tracking.
He also oversaw the back office integration of a global acquisition and re-architecting the legal entity structure and related global tax strategy to minimize the consolidated effective tax rate.
Grant spent 10 years at a benchmarking and consulting firm in a variety of corporate and client facing leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director - Finance Transformation Practice and Managing Director - Oracle Practice. He worked with a wide spectrum of clients, across industries, providing solutions including benchmarking, process improvement, organizational design, ERP implementation and program management. Mr. Fitzwilliam also spent 7 years as a consultant and auditor at the Big 4 accounting firm, KPMG.
Mr. Fitzwilliam is also on the Board of Directors of Upstream, a fast growing reverse logistics company focused on the consumer electronics marketplace.
Grant Fitzwilliam has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He routinely participates as a speaker on transforming and measuring the effectiveness of G&A functions
